I use a petroleum distillate based polish/sealer called astroshield and another similar one called Liquid Glass. They aren't waxes but they do seal and polish very nicely. Anyone had any experience with these on Ferrari's?

Use Blitz wax. Get it at Performance Products.

My local detailer here in San Francisco recently turned me on to a product that helps preserve your shine in-between detailings. I own a BLACK 2005 - 575M and am extremely picky on how my cars look. The product is called SYNERGY. It's super-simple to use: After washing your car and while it's still wet, about 1/2oz. is applied to a special sponge/applicator. You wipe it all over the car (windows, rubber, paint - everywhere). It looks like you're rubbing-on low-fat milk. Then, you rinse it off with a hose. Dry your car as you normally would (I always use the XL size super-blue micro-fiber towels). Holy cow, does it make your paint shine, especially BLACK! This product is tremendous and I would highly recommend you try it - I'm hooked!!

Ask for Jim, he has the exclusive on SYNERGY: http://www.californiadetailing.com/
