1958 TR tonneau covers

All of the old photos of the 1958 T.R.'s seem to show the cars with
tonneau covers on the "passenger's" side. Is it fair to say that they
"always' were built this way?

Thoughts?

I'm no expert on these great cars, but have you tried contacting Ed Gilbertson, Preservation Chairman, with your questions? If he doesn't know, he probably can refer you to someone who does. Ed's at edgilberts@aol.com

I am not an expert on these cars. In addition to the tonneau cover - they also had tops. Or at least the team had one top. This top went to the winner of the race. The cars needed full road equipment in order to race in those days.

0734 also has cover over pass side.
