I was originally looking into buying one of these four modelsa) 330 GTC, (b) 512 TR, (c) 328 GTB and (d) F355 Berlinetta. I was able to sit in each of the cars during the Concorso Italiano and eliminated the 328 due to the lack of headroom. The seatback of the F355 was too narrow. I've heard that the repair costs for a 512 TR can be horrendous. My ultimate favorite (without consideration of price) is the 330 GTC. Before I get any deeper into my search for one, I would like to find someone who will let me drive one to see if it is as I have imagined. I live in the Monterey Bay area. Any suggestions?
Finally, how do the maintenance costs compare between the 330 GTC and 512 TR if they are each in #2 mechanical condition? Am I right in assuming that the 512 TR will cost more to maintain?

Can't help with the test drive, but assuming both cars are in good condition to begin with, the older cars are much less expensive for routine maintenance. Primarily, no periodic and expensive timing belts to change. You'll only need the usual tune up stuff like plugs, points, valve cover gaskets, etc.
