I like the shape of the 348 (I hear this is not the right thing to say), and its performance and practicality, but have read many horror stories, including Montezemolo's own, regarding the poor build quality and harsh ride of the early models. Did the '94 and '95 models, Spider or other, get over these? Is the Spider a better car than the GTB or GTS in these model years? I am vacillating between getting an '89 328 GTS or a latter year 348.

If you like the way the 348 looks, then you can find better deals than you can on a good condition 328. If Walter Meyer is still selling his SS, you could not wrong with that car!

It certainly provides some performance and amenity advantages over the 328. (I prefer the way the 328 looks, though).
