I'm in the process of purchasing a new set of tires for my 1988 328 and was wondering what the best replacements are for the Goodyear Eagle's. I would value anyone's opinion and experience of what are the good tires and any of the ones not to consider purchasing.

I am looking at the following in the order of what "I believe" are the best replacements:
Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S All Season Ultra High Performance
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
Bridgestone Potenza S-03
Bridgestone Potenza RE 950 V

I need 2 ea. of the following sizes:
P205/55R16
P225/50R16

I have seen in car magazines that the Pilot Sport A/S's are really good tires, however, I really like the appearance of the Pirelli's. Does anyone have any experience with Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S All Season Ultra Performance tires as replacements on a 328? It was really difficult to find a replacement Pirelli for the size tires on my 328.

Update 11/12/04 - I purchased the Pirelli P-Zero Nero All Season Ultra High Performance Tires from the "Tire-Rack". The total cost for tires, delivery, balancing, new valve stems, disposal of old tires, and installation of new tires was $485.00 including tax. These are fantastic tires and I would recommend them to the rest of the membership. They are super quiet, have great traction and have good handling characteristics.
