Hi...........

Tires for the Berlinetta Boxer series of automobiles are becoming more difficult to find, as manufacturers are making lower profile, larger diameter tires for new applications. Aside from Coker Tires, are there good sources for tires which will fit the original wheels and, if so, which sizes fit the wheel wells without exposing the suspension to view ? Is there a good source for the metric Michelin TRX tires ?

Thank you.

As you mentioned, Coker is about the only source for XWX or TRX tires. If you have the 15" wheels that used 215 and 225 XWX tires, you can use a number of other combinations such as a 235/60-15 that will work with only about a 3% speedometer error and will still look OK. If you have a later car with TRX wheels, the best bet is to get a different set of wheels (OEM or aftermarket) and go with a more widely-available tire. Depends on your intentions... Concours events dictate the OEM setup, while just normal use permits some flexibility.
