Hi to everybody. Just become a proud owner of 97 550.
For some reason it doesn't communicate with generic OBDII.
Does enybody know what kind of protocol Ferrari use?
Thanks in advance

In 1997 there were two basic protocols: J1850 and ISO, with the ISO protocols (either ISO91941-2 or ISO14230-4) being used primarily by European manufacturers. Generic scan tools can read one or the other or both, but a typical U.S.-made scan tool was designed for the J1850 protocol. That is probably what the issue is with your scan tool.

Thanks a lot.
My car is a US model and a California spec. As far as i know, to pass emission the car has to comunicate with US generic tool. If it's equipted with ISO protocol, that would be imposible.
Please advise.
