Hi everyone!!!

I could use some help and hope someone may have experienced my situation with
the V-8 engine in my 1992 348 TS 25,000 miles all regular maintenance.

We are doing maintenance now and have found that 3 of the 4 oil injectors
(Ferrari calls the part "Multiple Union" RA TABLE 16 Part 75 #137607. the part
lubricates the underside of the pistons. Each part has two injector arms.) We
have one arm broken off three of the four parts. There was No loss in oil
pressure as the hole diameter of the tube is the same as the tube outlet.

RA said they sell these regularly so there must be an issue, but there is no
update or information that they are aware of. My concern is why these arms have
come off. On the bottom of ONE piston skirt, there is a tiny little nick where
the piston may have come in contact with the arm. On another cylinder where the
arm is still intact, by rotating the engine we can see the arm and piston come
into contact. HOWEVER there is no indication of movement on the connecting
rods or wrist pins of the cylinders involved.

I have considered a harmonic vibration in the engine during revs over 6,000 rpm
may have caused the arms to vibrate up and down so the arm contacts the piston
not the other way around.

If anyone has had to replace these parts during a major or has any ideas, I sure
would appreciate your reply.

Wishing you all the very BEST!
